A week of calm

All quiet in the studio this week. After shooting like crazy for the last couple of weeks it’s now time to download all the footage, edit the photos and make banners & previews for the site.

The world-famous Hustlaball is coming to London this weekend, so whilst all those gorgeous men are in town I’ll be scouting for models.
The weather’s wonderful and it’s tempting to go out & enjoy the sun, but instead I’ll be trawling through the hook-up sites, looking at dozens of profiles with pics of hot men. It’s a chore, but I’m willing to do it! HAHA!

We don’t really go in for awards, preferring to do our thing and let you be the judge, but now we’ve been nominated for an award for which you are the judge, so I guess it would be churlish of us to ignore it.

Unlike other awards, where your chances of winning are proportionate to the amount you spend on advertising with the company which runs them, the EGPA awards are voted for solely by you the surfer, which seems a little bit fairer to us.

We’re nominated for Best European Site (and also bizarrely for best blog – please don’t !)

Public holidays? Pff!

May Bank Holiday is when most of Western Europe grinds to a halt; families head for the beach and gay boys head for the disco. Three days of hedonism to get us in a summer frame of mind.

We of course do the opposite. Turning down invitations to parties, we spent the weekend shooting four new scenes for UKNM in a great location in The City.

Having a part-glass roof and no a/c the venue was tropically hot and with eight hot guys going at each other we were soon raising the temperature even higher.

Fortunately, there’s a jacuzzi at the venue, so relaxing in it with a cold beer for half an hour at the end of the day was bliss.

 

 

 

Fleshlights ahoy!

Neil’s first encounter with a Fleshlight made a great solo video which was a big hit with our members. The look of curiosity mixed with apprehension soon turned into joy as he discovered new sensations which brought him to a shuddering orgasm. After shooting a huge load (we made him finish with his hand so the camera could see) his look was one of amazement and of course ecstasy as he sighed ‘amazing’.

Back from the playground

Phew! That was an intense couple of days. We’ve been shooting in that huge warehouse I mentioned the other day. Set designer and committed collector Mike has transformed 5,000 square meters of empty warehouse into a wonderland of sets which range from Edwardian music room to sixties minimalist, all-white area – and the best part is, it’s all modular, so we can shoot in the sets they’ve created or steal stuff from other areas to make our own.

We of course couldn’t decide which area we wanted to shoot in most, so we went there for two days and shot four videos in a row!

Great sets deserve great men and as well as shooting with a couple of the site’s best, we also looked hard for some great new guys – and we found them ;)

It was hard work, but a lot of fun. Now I feel a Bank Holiday weekend calling!

Committed to Quality

Our recent update ‘Sweeny 5-The Cut’ was actually shot last summer along with several other Sweeney episodes. We knew that Dillon Buck wouldn’t be available for a while, so we made a little stock for our members.
Then of course we continued shooting more great videos – each one vying for a place in the update schedule, and before we know it, it’s a year later and we still have a Sweeney episode waiting to go on the site!

Watching something that was shot a year ago was a little strange for us and brought back a few memories of that summer.
It’s also the last video we shot with a standard definition camera.
The main cam was hi-def of course, but being a young site, we couldn’t stretch our budgets to buying two hi-definition cameras until just after this shoot.

What few cam 2 clips we see are fine, but we’re glad we invested in state-of-the-art High Definition cameras a year ago because they’ve greatly increased the quality of our content.
As time goes on, we’ve invested further in new equipment to improve quality even further and we’ll continue to do so. Take a look at those very early videos in our bonus section if you’d like to compare!

Of course, video for streaming and downloading is compressed to keep file sizes down and while it looks pretty damn good, I suppose the difference will be really visible when we finally release some of our films on DVD.
